Ø       Working Group “Saving of the Danube reservation”

Aim of the project

To increase role of the NGOs in the life of the UA community. The project might to create possibilities for a wide discussion of the Danube problem among the NGOs and to elaborate the public planning for its solving.

Planned activities

1. 1^st meeting of the WG. The aim of the meeting to make a planning of the WG activities:
•  discussion the action;
•  planning of the materials as to increasing public awareness, UA and international eco-communities about the campaign;
• visiting the national reservation.
2. Discussions in the mailing list, implementation of the planning, preparing publication.
3. 2d meeting of the WG:
• announcement of the publication and its sending out;
• evaluation of the WG activities;
• future – planning.

Realised activities:

1. Organised one meeting in Svyatogorsk (Donetsk region).
2. Prepared information materials:
• bulletins for NGOs in UA and NIS;
• prepared conversions to president of UA, deputies of the Verhovna Rada, Minister of the environment, prime-minister and others related to Danube problems and nature conservation – more then 20.
3. Prepared to publication newsletters.
4. Results of the meetings discussing in the mailing list and will be presented on the 4^th Green Platform Meeting.
