General information

In December 2002, Milieukontakt started a two and half years' programme in Ukraine 'Ukrainian NGO Community Reaching Out'. Key-words: creation of an open NGO platform, improving communication NGOs-authorities, electronic network (information & communication technology), volunteering and (international) partnerships.

Working Groups

In the framework of this programme, two thematic Working Groups have been supported, WG Harmonization of International Law and WG Environmental & Health.

After the 3^rd Green Platform Meeting were started Four new Thematic Working Groups which are:

• working on topics that are linked with issues discussed during the 3^rd Green Platform Meeting;
• developing and adopting democratic, transparent, open and participatory procedures and work accordingly;
• need to develop a clear, attractive presentation of their results, recommendations to be presented at the 4^th  Green Platform Meeting.

Ø       Working Group “Environment and Media (Journalists for sustainability in Carpathians)”

Ø       Working Group “Environmental Networks”

Ø       Working Group “Saving of the Danube reservation”

Working groups started their work from 15^th of December 2004.
